About
Founded in January, 2025 under The Feminist Code NGO, HerLore Magazine publishes fiction, poetry, essays, interviews, and art/photography from Global-South, Pan-African, and Afro-diasporic voices. Our work is rooted in feminist inquiry, decolonialism, cultural memory, and the imaginative futures our communities are building.
We believe literature and the arts belong to everyday conversation. We publish writers and artists who mirror our world back to us, who question certainty, and who widen the language we have for care, joy, and resistance.
We seek fresh, rigorous, and generous voices, pieces that lift craft and thought in equal measure. Each publication cycle we curate new work across genres and highlight artists and thinkers shaping our moment.
Alongside our quarterly features, we run Editorial Ledger (interviews, blog posts, reading lists, and editorial essays) and HerLore Regular (rolling submissions in fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and art/photography). Our aim is simple: to make a beautiful home for work that moves readers and travels far beyond the page.
